cleverDome, Inc.™, a US-based organization protecting client data, has opened some of its tools to registered investment advisors after integrated with its systems.

The group takes consumer information “under the Dome” – so that it is secure and off the open Internet. It has now plugged into the TD Ameritrade Institutional Veo One® platform.

“The cleverDome network offers military-grade security for all of an advisory firm’s computers and devices,” the business said.

The organization said that it is talking to other financial technology providers and expects to add more firms to its embrace.

“By taking critical data off the open internet, we can better protect data shared between multiple parties and help RIAs ensure their computers and mobile devices are protected when accessing client data anywhere, anytime,” Jon Patullo, managing director of technology solutions at TD Ameritrade Institutional, said.

Cybersecurity is a major wealth advisor concern, given a run of recent breaches. The latest TD Ameritrade Institutional RIA Sentiment Survey showed that data security was the top technology spending priority among advisors and expected to be a top issue among regulators in 2019.
